Frequently asked questions

Which MT5 trade manager suits prop firm challenges?

It depends on what your firm checks. If the daily loss limit is the rule you worry about most, look for a tool that closes all positions at a limit you set. Of the four tools here, only ProRisk Manager describes that on its product page. If you mainly need lot sizing, the free Position Sizer is enough.

Is there a free MT5 trade manager?

Yes. EarnForex's Position Sizer is free and open source. Forex Trade Manager and Trade Assistant offer free demos on the MQL5 Market, and ProRisk Manager has a 14-day trial with every feature.

Why does ProRisk Manager cost more?

It is a subscription that includes the EA, the web dashboard and updates. The other paid tools are one-time purchases or rentals on the MQL5 Market. Whether that is worth it depends on whether you need the daily loss limit and the dashboard.

How up to date is this comparison?
